Aveley is a small town in Thurrock, Essex. Aveley is one of the traditional parishes in Thurrock. It is situated within the Eastern Boundaries of the M25. It is also to the west of South Ockendon and West Thurrock. Aveley is also located close to other towns within Thurrock, but not within the busy centre of the borough. Therefore, Aveley is a calm relaxing place to be with the surrounding greenery, such as Belhus Woods County Park and Belhus Park. Also, for golf lovers, there is Belhus Park Golf Club within walking distance of the town.
Aveley isn’t totally isolated because it has very convenient routes to other areas within Thurrock; the most popular would be the Ensign Bus route 22 which travels through Grays and Chafford Hundred and finishes in Stifford Clays or London Bus Route 372 which goes from Lakeside to Hornchurch whilst passing through Aveley. Some may not all be a fan of Buses, there is also Purfleet Railway Station is a good distance from the town and South Ockendon Railway Station. There are a few famous figures that came from Aveley, for example; Martina Cole, born 1959, is a British crime writer and Paul Allen, born 1962, is a retired English footballer.
